Cold War spies, assassins, car trip across the country, and main setting in Lake Chelan, WA. With weather phenomena only a meteorologist can explain with such detail! Twists, turns, surprises! Love all of his books! Excellent Christian fiction!
This was another great book by this author. About espionage, good vs evil, love, family and most importantly faith in our Creator.

As Allie discovers her father was not at all what he seemed, she has to evaluate her future in light of the danger and hope that surrounds her. Her character waivers between fear and courage as she faces physical, emotional, and spiritual battles with her life hanging in the balance. Add a determined assassin, a sleeper agent on the run, and dash of sweet romance and you'll be wondering how it can all be resolved by the end.I was invited to try new authors and receive this ebook from H.L. I don’t read very many books written by male Authors but H. L. Wegley is an exceptional Author. It seems he just keeps getting better with every book he writes. This one has it all; suspense, romance, humor and Faith in God woven throughout the book. After Allies’s father is shot she is on the run from the killer who wants her to be next. With the help of the son of her dad’s best friend, Grady, she is on a cross country trip, all the while trying to dodge a killer. Wegley’s books are all highly researched and this one is no exception. You can tell that he writes with firsthand knowledge and experience. I recommend this book highly and I am sure you will enjoy it. This book was given to me by the author/publisher with no requirement for a review. All views are my very own.
I think it’s the best one I’ve read of this author. I loved the storyline and the Journals that tell a story. Allie and Grady are two people traveling together and discovering the truth together about her father. The story of Grady’s father and Allie’s father is so good and I loved the way the story is told as they travel from Virginia to Washington. I’m from Indiana and it was fun to read about them coming thru my state.You will love this book!
Oh what a super great book. Brought back some memories of the Reagan years I had totally forgotten. Very well written with a fabulous story line. Edge of your seat thrilling ride. Highly recommend. I received a copy from the author. Opinions are my own.
Just as with his other books, I connected with these characters right away and could barely put the book down. Suspense, twists and turns, happy ending. Loved it!
